Ultra Hog Heaven has established the Paws 'n' Wheels program as the official organization to benefit from any of it's fund raising efforts. Paws 'n' Wheels was established to provide financial, and other, assistance to animal rescue and welfare groups. All proceeds collected by Ultra Hog Heaven from certain activities are  transferred to Paws 'n' Wheels for distribution to animal rescue and welfare groups. No admin fees are deducted.

In the past, classic and custom car shows were organized by Paws 'n' Wheels as a means of raising awareness and funds for animal rescue. Often, animal rescue is undertaken by individuals who selflessly devote their own time, money and other resources to rescue and foster former pets who are abandoned, lost or doomed and destined for euthanasia at municipal shelters. These well meaning samaritans are usually severely underfunded and understaffed. The previous car show effort often brought some welcome relief when their resources were stretched to the limit.

Ultra Hog Heaven is also hoping to raise awareness about, and help prevent, another less publicized situation from occurring in the country - the intentional "dumping" of helpless pets because they can no longer, or won't,  be cared for.  The ignorant former owners of these defenseless creatures believe that they can fend for themselves if they are taken out to the country and released.  NOTHING is further from the truth.  Imagine how you would feel, after living a life of having your food and water provided to you, if you were suddenly taken away and placed in a strange land with nothing familiar to you and no experience in finding food or water.  Add the prospect of coyotes and other predators, it would be pretty frightening, to say the least.  Now, just think what fear a small, or even large for that matter, pet must suffer when this happens to them.  I, for one, can't even imagine the sheer terror they must experience.

I have started carrying canned food and water containers in my vehicles and motorcycle saddle bags to provide some temporary relief to these abandoned former pets when I happen upon one, or more, of them. I urge everyone to do the same.  I realize that continued maintenance could result in the animal's dependence on humans, again, but, is it worth letting the animal suffer?  If you know that the animal has been dumped and doesn't belong to some bumpkin who is letting it run loose on the country roads,  you might consider trying a rescue.  We want everyone who is interested to help us establish rescue shelters at Ultra Hog Heaven for these hapless animals.
